SAVAGE CLUB
The annual meeting of the Wellington Savage Club, held in .the club's rooms last evening, was very well attended. The chair -yns occupied by the chief savage, Mr. J, P. Firth, who, on retiring from office, was givon the heartiest manifestation of the esteem in which he had'been held during hia important term of office. The following officers wore elected for the current year:—President ( chief savage), M.r. W. R-. Morris; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. F. Carl', Albert Russell, E. Blundoll, James Ilialop ; committee, Messrs. G. P. Wilson, \V. E. Jackson, D. N. Isaacs, F. Twiss, H. Buck, Theo. Queree,. J. A. Dolierty, and J. 'P. Courtney; musical director and accompanist, Mr.- Frank Thomas; secretary, Mr. Ronald K. Lyon; treasurer, Air. 11. Henderson; auditor, Mr. T. H. Jones.
