ELECTION OF OFFICERS. By Telegraph—Press Association, Auckland, April 8. At the conference of the Now Zealand branch of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows, a motion to provide a tabl« for increased funeral benofits in conjunction with the sick benefit of the society was lost, the consensus of opinion that amplo provision exists under the. increased Funeral Benefit Fund. The election of officers resulted as follows :-Grand Master, Bro. AVilliam Thomas (Auckland); Deputy G.M., Bro. W. R. Gahagan (Christchurch); corresponding secretary, Bro. J. Kej'shnw (Wellington), society treasurer, Bro. 0. .11. Godber (Wellington). Thirteen candidates went to the ballot for six seats on the directorate, and the following were returned :-Bro. A. G. Shrimpton (Nelson), Bro. H. Bull (Nanier), Bro. T. Aitken (Auckland). Bro. F. Pritchard (Asliburton), Bro. W, Clark (Wellington!, Bro. J. Mcrriman (Christchurch); Parliamentary agent, Bro. .1. Kershaw (Christchurch); society auditors, Hros. A. Guise, T. S. I'owfill, and W. G. French (all of Wellington).
