ADMIRAL SIMS'S CHARGES
■ —v — OUTSPOKEN CONDEMNATION BY ADMIRAL RODMAN. (Roc. April 8, 9.25 p.m.) Washington, April 7. At the investigation into navy affairs, arising out of Admiral Sims's charges. Admiral Rodman said he had come to defend tlie good name of the Navy, which viewed Admiral Sims's attack as deserving of the deepest censure. Admiral Sims occupied a subordinate position in London as liaison officer and possibly arrogated to the office more importnnee than actually was the case. Admiral Rodman charged Admiral Sims with a breach of confidence in disclosing confidential admonitions. Answering Admiral Sims's charges thai lydf a million lives had been sacrificed bewi'of the Navy Dennrtment's delay, Admiral Rodman characterised them as "damned lied," He declared that the statement was ridiculous.
