FATAL ACCIDENT
RAILWAYMAN TO OYER BY ENGINE. Edward Lane, a railway employee, was fatally injured on Saturday afternoon while on duty at the Lambton running yards. The accident lnpnencd nt 2.40 o'cilook. After receiving first aid he was admitted to the Ho.*pihl in a hopeless condition, his death taking nlacs at midnight the same dny, The deceased, who is reported to he a single man, resided at 117 Thorndon Quay,' and his age was 42 years. An inquest will be held.
