A rather peculiar accident occurred in Palmerston North on Thursday. A motorlorry was proceeding down Eangitikei Street, and when crossing Broad Street was! run into by a motor-car which was coming down tluit street. The motor r.truck the lorry side on, and the point or"'the off spring went right thron-rli one of the spokes of the near hind wheel of the heavier vehicle. It took over half nil hour to disengage the two motors. No one was hurt, and the only damage done to the car was the smashing of one of the lamps, while ono wheel of the lorry .will require to be renewed.'
