■TOHNSONVTLLE CLUB. . , The Johnsonville Golf Club held its eighth annual meeting on Friday evening last, there being n pood attendance. The report and balance-sheet. showed tho club to be in a'flourishing-condition, considering the;trying times wh ; ch nil sports bodies been through. Tho election of .officersi resulted ' ns follows:—ratron. Sir J. G. Ward, K.C.M.G., etc.; president, Mr. P. Bonrke; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Moore, D. Sloane, and C. B. Redward; committee Messrs Andrew, Ellis; and Wallis; captain, Mn.li, S. Kent; lion secretary, Mr. G. B. Ferguson; lion, treasurer,, Mr. C. Treivcck; lion, auditor, Mr., T. H. Gibson. A mixed foursome was played on Saturday last as i\n opening for iho 1920 season. A very good attendance of niomIjers and visitors from other Wellington cluks later enjoyed afternoon tea in Iho clubhouse, when the president. (Mr. P. Itourke) declared the season open and presented - tho prizes won during lost year.
