The I\ow Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their weekly Pahiatua sale nn Tuesday, when they offered a fair yarding; of sheep and a small entry of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. The whole entry was disposed of under the hammer at the following prices :-4-tooth wethers, 325. to 325. 2d.; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 275. Bd.; springing heifers, £12 10s.; heifers in calf, £11 10s. Wright. Stenhcuson and Co.. Ltd., report having offered, nt the weekly Masterton 6ale on Wednesday, a, good yarding of sheep and a heavy entry of cattle, including 274 head from Messrs. Bar- , ton Bros.. Mataikona Station. There was a good attendance of buycrß, and the sale, taken throughout, was most successful. , There was a marked improvement in the cattle market, tho whole entry o[ about 500 head beiiifr sold under the hammer at prices well in advance of recent rates.
