PETONB CLUB. Members of the Petone Hide Club held another competition for the championship and prizes on Saturday. A very tricky front wind blew tho whole afternoon! causing many shots to go wide of the mark. Notwithstanding these drawls,™ Oartor and J. Scott manned to battle with the elements fairly well. The SuburVs Club re-fired "the third match in the second series. at ranges ow and 600 yards, 21 shots, thereby eompletine the second eerie? of competitions. A tricky wind upset calculations badly. The hest score off the gun was made by Dep.Pres. Boon (84) but after the adjustment of the automatic handicap A. O. Bellamore proved the winner of the match, closely followed by Pres. FelUneh.am. The club also completed the champion pair match Riflemen Harris ,»nd Ncal being the winners with 657 points. The winner of the second sericrf was R for A class and Nat Sherbrooko in B class. The members of the- Karori Rifle Club fired the third matoh 'of the third series at the Trentham range on Saturday, at. ranges of 500 and 600 yards, 10 shots and sighter at each range.
