RUN OVER BY A MOTOR TRUCK
' ; . » LITTLE BOY KILLED., A lad named Harry Ernest Croad, aged 9 years,- was killed at Richmond Road, Carterton, on Saturday by beiug' run. over by a motor truck (writes our Carterton correspondent}. It appears that the boy was going for a ride on tho vehicle" and was in the net'of mounting it when he missed his footing and fell under tho lorry,'one of the wheels passing over the lower portion of his body and causing, it is stated, internal hemorrhage. The lad died shortly afterwards. At an inquest-held yesterday, afternoon a verdict of "accidentally killed, no blame beiug attachable to anyone," was returned. ■
