The Amberley Meetinj will bo held to« day. Good acceptances have been received for the various events, and the meeting looks* like being a record for til# club. Tho Onp field is headed by Meleo, Est. 131b., who is (=et to give Paraoa 31b. The former is more Beaconed than any of (ho others, while Paraon lias not had a race for nearly live months. There are several others in the race, but Melee appeal's to bo in a class by hiniseii. lie will be ridden by H. Young. ■ At Amberley to-day the Chokebore stable will bo represented by Stcepholm m the Cup and Happy Captain ill the Hack Handicap. The latter is a very speedy gelding and a successful trip for him is Ireiily anticipated. The report is confirmed that the local owner, Mr. H, W. Brown, is retiring trom racing, and Ilia horses are all in the private sale list. . Latest advices from the south indicate that the imported Arrowsmith is a good favourite for the C.J.C.-Great .Easter Handicap. He is in the aame Blablc as Fiery Cross, who has lately comc into the market. The three-year-old Golden Bubble 13 also freely spoken about in connection with this race.'
