HARMONIC SOCIETY
The Wellington Harmonic Socifcty, under the conductorship of Mr. R. Temple While, will give Ihc first concert of the 1920 seaen in 'the Town Hall on Wednesday evening. In keeping with the Easter season the sbcietv will render Gounod's "Mesas Sulcnnclle." with piano and Brand organ accompaniment. The soloists will bo:Soprano, Miss Teresa- M'Enroe; tenor, Mr. James Searle; bass, Mr. Prank Charles, and the well-trained choir or over 50 picked voices; will give what is expected to prove to be the best rendering or this work that has been given in Wellington. "Where'er You Walk" (Handel), and "Thou Art Passiiiu- Hence" (Sullivan). Elgar s As Torrents In Summer" will bo suns (unaccompanied) by the society, and tliaharmonlo miartct will contribute.. Sullivan's "Tho lions Day Closes." Music lovers are. advised to book their scats at the Bristol (without extra charge), where the plan is on view, and tickets may bo obtained.
