The four-masted barque Monongahela, which arrived off the entrance on Sunday morning, and which anchored inside l.ho entrance in the evening, was brought to an anchorage at 8 a.m. yesterday by the 'J'f.rawhiti and Pelican. After being cleared by the health officer the baryue was berthed at No. 2 Queen's Wharf at 3.10 p.m. The Monongahela left San Francisco on January 25, and had a flue run down lo latitude 29deg, south, where adverse winds were encountered. East Cape wai the first cf the New Zealand coast sighted. Captain P. Stvaiu is iu command of tho banruo, and Mr. J'.' A. Miller 16 mate. The crew, nil toid, totals 49. At Wellington tho Monongahela will (Mschargo 700 tons of general cargo, and 30,000 ensen of oil (out of a total cargo of 60,300 cases), to the agency of Messrs. Murray, Roberts. After completing discharge tho barqu.i will go to Sydney to put out the balance. After that she i 3 to go to Newcastle to load a cargo of coal, fur Vanila, and from tlu-re rhe returns to Sun Francisco.
