WORLD'S POULTRY CONGRESS

In the early part of September, 1921, there will assemble, at Tho Hague, Ifollaand, the 'first world's poultry congress, on the invitation of the Netherlands Government. Arrangements had previously beeir made for the holding of this congress- in 1!)1G. Owing, however, to tho outbreak of the European war it had necessarily to bo .postponed. AVith a renewal of the invitation fiom the Dutc)i Government the.project is now going l forward.

It is intended to hold during the period of tho congress a non-conipctitive display of breeds of poultry from as many countries as possible," so as to bring together a complete collection for tlio first time, and of appliances. In OctobeI.',1.', 1920, there will commence at The Hague a great international laying .trial, extending to September, 1021, at which it is hoped that representative pens of fowls from' all the leading countries will be entered. It is hoped to form congress committees in many of the countries interested in this branch of food .production, and to secure the presence of and contributions in the way of papers from the most eminent and constructive workers -throughout the wi-' tire world. The general secretary is Mr. G. S. Tli Van Gink, 10 Koningiu Mariastraat, The Hague, Holland.
