\. STATISTICIAN'S FIGURES QUESTIONED.

"I contend." he added, "thai -the Government Statistician gets "his figures' from where quantities are dealt in. The worker, however, lias to buy in tho most casual manner, because his mca!>s vill not permit him to do otherwise, and in buying in that manner the cost is relatively higher."
