Both Richards had the collarbone broken nnd Smith suffered a broken rib They wore taken to the Wmimite Itospital, and are progressing satisfactorily.

A taxi-cab . was running down hill to the waterfront at a smart pace, and, when turning into the road on the waterfront, it swerved and struck two seats placed hy the water broadside on. There were two persons on. one seat, Mr. and Mrs. Guest, and they ■were hoth thrown over the chains which fence off the hn.rhour into the water. A voune man promptly jumped in and res•cued Mrs, Guest, and .her husband managed to get out by himself. Mr. m.stained a broken ankle, and Mrs. Guwk , is suffering from shock. They were both' wnt to the hospital. There was a woman on the- second seat struck bv the. . motor, hut although knocked over and . injured she was ah c to tro home. The taxi-cab wns somewhat damaged, and a , nas*e.nge.r who occupied the back seat was" thrown out. He was lucky to escapo injury. __________
