PENNANT FINAL WON BY NEWTOWN. Tho rain of tho last couple of days made the greens fairly heavy for the Dennant final between Newtown and Kelburn. The strong wind that developed was especially disconcerting on Kelburn creen. and tiie coldness that came with the. rain made the playing conditions totallv unpleasant. At Kelburn the home rinks had probably tho best of the piav up to the tea adjournment, but upon resuming the .visitors "came .away." and won in each rink. At Newtown tho two home rinks had their games in hand half-way through, but Doherty's Kelburn rink, from beins: 9 —IS down with twelve heads cone, 'won out on the lust head from Scott.
