INFANT'S SUDDEN DEATH

An inquest was held fit Petono yesterday by Mr. W. G. Riddcll, Coroner, on tha 'body of an infant named Kathleen Parker, the three months' old daughter at Mr. ami Mrs. J. C,. Parker, 25 Tory Street. Petone, who died suddenly at 2 o'clock on Saturday morning. Evidence went to show that the child livis not as well as might be, and the mother procured some medicine from a local chem'st, and administered it to the Üby on Friday night. The parents retired at 11 p.m., the baby sleeping in the same bed, and apparently all right. At 2 a.m. tha mother awoke and found the baby dead. Dr. Harding wns called and pronounced life to be extinct. The Coroner found that tho child died from convulsions.
