REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Referees' Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. last ,°vening. Mr. P. O'Connell presiding. Tho followim? officers were elected :—President Mr. B. L. Salmon; vice-presidents, Messrs. B. S. Lithgow and H. Yeoman; hon. secretarr and treasurer, Mr. C. Pi Ward: delete to New Zealand Referees' • Association. Mr, H. Yeoman; examination board. Messrs. R. S. Lithgow, P. O'Connell. B-'.L. Salmon, H. Yeoman, mid ,k. E. Wells; appointment board, Messrs. H. Yeoman. B. L. Salmon, and i. 1 . P. Ward; hon; auditor, Mr. H. E. Barnett.
It: was decided to meet on alternate Tuesdays, commencing on April 13. A letter was received from the Y.M.C.A. asking that referecs"should be appointed to give lectures on points of tho game. Af}er considerable dismission a sub-com-mittee was set up to arrange matters in this connection. PETONE CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING There was a fair attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Petone Association Football Club held nt the Ranfurly Hall Inst night. The chairman (Mr. IV. A. Pawson) preside<l. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Chairman, Mr. W. A. Pawson (re-electcd); patron. .Mi'. J. W. M'Ewan; president, Mr. Burd (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. Jenness, AV. Bosher, Bennie, Corry, T. Blyth, W. Pawson, T. Leadbeatter, J. C. M'Ewan, E. Hartley,' E. Green, \V. Taplin, W. Reene; secretary ami treasurer, Mr.. Neil M'PougaH; assistant secretory, Mr. A..Shaw; club captain, Mr. IT. Ingham Management Committee, Messrs. ,T. M'Leod, R. Grimvood, J. Neich and H. Burd; auditor,. Mr. K. Burd (re-elected); delegates to W.F.A., Messrs. L. Gosney, M'Dougall, and Grinwood. Mr. L. Gosney (late secretary!) resigned because lie is leaving the district.- Ha and Mr. Neil M'Dougall were fleeted life members. Votes of anpmnation wera passed to tha Rugby Football Club for tho use of their gymnasium and to the outgoing committee. . It is intended to enter five teams this year—one each in the senior, junior, third, and fourth, nnd fifth grades.
