BESTOWAL OF HONOURS
,• ♦ ■ ■ COMPLAINT BY LIBERAL M;P. : The opinion that two-Liberal members of the National. Cabinet, the Hon, A. JL Myers and the- Hon.-W.D.. ; S. MacDonald, should have been honoured with the bestowal of knighthoods, was voiced by Mr. R. M'Callum, M.P.. when speaking at a_ farewell to Mr. Myers at tho Commercial Travellers' Club yesterday ■ evening. '-...;.
.Mr. Myera,' said- Mr. M'Callum, was loved by each member of. his party, and they.felt morc.than'admiration for the way he had put the good of his country before his pocket. The political world was a very queer affair. He believed that Mr. Myers should have been honoured with the K.C.M.G. distinction, also Mr. Mac Donald. The present Government should have, given out honour. l ) "fairly and squarely.'' He did not want to disouss politics at a gathering of that nature, but he wished to say that a spirit of fair play was wanted. "If any two gentlemen of this Dominion earned a distinction," added Mr. M'Callum, "they are my two colleagues before you to-night." ' '
