Judgment wns Riven yesterday afternoon bv Mr. E. Paße; S.M., in tho action brought by tho polico against Anthouv Swiiiburn, a newsvondor, of having sold an-indecent publication (a copy of the "Winning Post Annual") to Con-i-talilfl Potter while the-latter was travelling in tho Wellington-New Plymouth express. Tho Magistrate said tliat he hnd examined tho publication, and considered the contents such as to warrant a conviction. Rwinbum was accordingly convicted,ind fined ilO, with 395. costs,' in default onft month's imprisonment.
