STILL MISSING

THE SEARCH FOR MR. IHURSTHOUSE. The search for Mr. J. F. Hursthouse, the well-known city dentist, who has been missing since Sunday last, continues without result.' Police Headquarters are keening in close touch with the search Dairies, which have unsuccessfully natrnlled the Enstbourne foreshore and tho bills running to the Pencarrow lighthouse. The lighthousekeeper is confident, that the man he saw near the liahthouse on Sunday afternoon was, Mr. Hursthouse. Numerous reports (have beon received by the police as to the whereabouts of the missing man, one coming from Wainui. and another from Fentherston. where he was supposed to have been seen at an hotel. Mr, A. W. Blair went out in his ear to Mr. Riddiford's station at Gollan's Valley,. and awirched the surrounding hills without result.

It is stated that a man nnswerin? the published description of Mr. Hursthouse was seen by a roadman on Monday last at about 8.30 a.m. on the Wainui-o-mata Bond, making in the direction of the Hutt Valley. He was also seen by two other residents, who described him with sufficient accuracy to induce the searchers to believe that the man was Mr. Hursthonse. Acting on this information a full description and a photo of. the missing'man are being distributed in the Hutt Vallev and Wairarapa districts, Mr. Hursthouse's friends would be grateful if anyone who sees a man similar to the published description will communicate at the earliest possible moment with the police at Wellington. Motorists travelling out of Wellington are invited to assist by keeping a loqk-qut. An organised attempt will be made on Saturday and Sunday to scour the country roads, and any motorists willing to assist are asked to compiunicate with the organiser. Mr. H. Tombs, at the earliest possible moment.
