f FQRECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for hieh northerly winds, backins by west to south., Expect dull and misty weather with rain in most parts of the Dominion. Barometer fallincr everywhere, but a rise is duo in the south after about twenty hours and a cold' snap is likely to follow. Very warm and humid conditions have prevailed, and Btormy weather north of Auckland. Bain has fallen there, and also in the southernmost districts. Heavy rain is reported this afternoon on the West Coast of the South Island. Winds have been variable, stronc east to north predominating. . D. 0. BATES. Director.
