A youth pleaded guilty to several charges of petty thefts committed during the months of October, November, and December last. The articles purloined wero a siJK scarf, a watch, a five-shilling niece, and a rubber stamp outfit, of a total valuo of about 455., the_ property of various persons in tho office in which he was emnloved. Chief-Detective Ward stated that the lad had borne a good character, he had a good home, and it was not expected that he would Rive further trouble.
