SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION GOOD DISPLAYS OF STOCK ' Br Telegraph—Special Correspondent. ■ Wanganui, March 17. The twelfth annual show of the Wave.i'loy A. and B. Association was hold today, and it was a pronounced succors. The weather was beautifully Iha attondnnco was good, and tho endues were very gratifying. Horses were a strong feature,' and in tho draught section somo very fine animals were exhibited h.v Ct. k. Middleton, who also had a fine entry in the-fat cattle classes, ami captured som'e of the main awards. 5 The dairy seotio'nwas made up of somo 5j strong classes, whilst the home indusj tries and fruit ■ and vegetable divisions tvero responsible-for keen competition. | An outstanding feature of the sliow wan I the magnificent exhibit from Mouma- |. haki-State Farm. It comprised 30' yarie- | ties of potatoes, . a complete collection of I splendidly-grown mangolds,. swedes, turnips and carrots; etc. There was a complete collection of grasses on view, whilo lucerne was shown to advantage. Cereals, ■ all grown at Moumahaki, were 6hown ..in sheaves, and fully demonstrated tho possibilities of the West Coast when farmed on Bound lines. In tho livo stock section the farm did not compete, but displayed for -exhibition purposes only somo splendid Byelniid a breed that is rapidly coming forward.
