"TIIE ROTTERS." . ' : ' "The Rotters" was produced a second time Inst evening by the -Allan Wilkie Dramatic-Company nt the Grand Opera House before a large and appreciative audience. The plnv abounds iii humorous situations and' eertninlv -caught- on last evening. The plot centres rounil Councillor Clugston, a self-made mnn. who sets about impressing'upon one anil all the good repute of his family, for'iris ambitions lie in the direction"'nf ultimately becoming mayor of the North of England town in which lie resides. The situations are extremely humorous,' and the satire is very clever. As Clugsfon, Mr. Edward Landor was nil that could be desired. Mr. Allan Wilkie. as Clugston's chauffeur, was admirable, and his comedy with the Glugston eirls found ready appreciation, Miss. T\ Hunter-Watts was very attractive as the flirtatious Winnie. whilst-Miss Helen Fergus was canital as the uncultured yet coy Mrs. Clugston. Other members of the company, acquitted themselves satisfactorily. "The Rotors" will be repeated throughout the week. KING'S THEATRE. At the King's Theatre to-day at. 2.15 a full orchestral matinee will be given. Clara Kimball Tonne will be seen in a urinping and sensational drama, entitled "Tho Road: Through Hie Dark." The play is beautifully mounted and «bnnn<i» in ■ thrilling- situations. A -splendid lint nf supporting films will also bo shown. Mrs. ,T. P. Woodward'{soprano) will tie heard in • several pleasine numbers. The same nrogrnnune will bo repeated this evening. EMPRESS THEATRE. "'The Eaec at the Window." , now screening at the Empress Theatre, i* a fine example of the aWlitv of Australian film companies. The third episode of "The Man of Might" is included on tfce programme. . EVERYBODY'S THEATRE, As an impersonator of dramatic rob* of .the intense order, the talented Japanese actor, Sessue Havalcawa. has few equals. "A Heart in Pawn," whicV is showing. at Everybody's, is one of his best production 5 . Tt is a tragic story, magnificently produced. Another of the popular Vernon Spenccr vaudevMlc trials and amateur competitions is announced to take place at the Orn nd Opera House on Saturday.
