TIIE REVENUE DISPUTE. Br Telegraph—Prcsß AssociationWestport, March 15. At a, meeting of the AVestport Harbour Board to-dny, n resolution was «arried on the motion of the chairman, Mr. W. T. Sle£, viewing with concern the proposed increase of A per cent, on lailway fares and rate, as it will operate on the hoard's revenues in the same unjust way as the 2t per cent, already imposed, and calling on the Government to repeal section 109 o£ the Finnticr Act of 1915 and refund the moneys collected by the Railway Department under tho said Act, as the board's endowments are pledged as security for loans raised. Tho re.?olution added that-.—"Tho delay of Cabihet in dealing with this matter is prejudicing tho board's position, while reaping revenue for the Railway Department. The position is uniusl. and unreasonable, and t.lirs operation of the Finance Act, 1915, is inioiiilous and wholly wrong in principle ns applied to this hoard, and wc ask for immediate action by the Prime Minister in giving the board rolief."
