PONEKE FOOTBALL 'CLUB
The annual meeting of the l'oneke Football Club was held last night. There were between 50 • and 60 members present. Mr. A. F. Wiron, one of the'vicepresidents, was in the chair, and apologised for (ho absence through illness of the president. The annual report showed the receipts I'or thn year to be ,£9B 15s. sd. and tho expenditure 165.. leaving a credit-bal-ance'.of 13s. sd. The sale of tho piece of land fronting tho gymnasium had been completed, and the gymnasium account showed a balance in hand of £50 19s. 6d. Against this were debentures amounting to .£IOO, otherwise tho gymnasium was free of debt. Sixteen new members were electcd.

M. Muir, W. N. Johnson, E. A. Dawson, W. Brown, M. Monks, W. T.arkin, F. M'Parland, F*. Bull, C. G. (Yilson, Drs. Herbert and Mackin, J. J. Reich. G. Hume, R. O'Brien, W. Jlridson. 13. Moi-rish, R. Nicholls, A. .T. Pethericb, A. ICitto, D. M'TCenzie and T,aurenson; lion, secretary, Mr. G. Sutherland; hon. treasnrcr, Mr. E. C. Mitchell; club captain. Mr. N. Wilkinson; rymnnsium trustees, Messrs. Mitchell. Griffiths, Wiren, and Wilkinson; selection, committee, Messrs. Griffiths, D. Dennehy, md captain of first fifteen; delegates, Messrs. White, Griffiths, and Mageo; ~rs, Messrs. Wiren and Hood. ' It was decided to recommend the formation of cricket and athletic clubs for next, season.
