Albert Wylie defeated Wicksteed for the singles championship of the Wellington Club on Tuesday evening. Wicksteed went off with a •strong lead, and notched nino before Wylie turned colour. On tho twelfth head the players were 12nll, but Wicksteed again drew ahead until tho score stood 17-12. Prom that out Wicksteed failed to score, an erratic game finishing 22-17 in Wylie's favour.
