FRENCH CITIZENS ATTACKED IN HOTEL
ARREST OF PRINCE JOACHIM

Berlin, March 8.
The ex-Kaiser's cousin, Prince Joachim Albrecht of Prussia, was the leading fig. ure in a scandalous attack on a French officer and his wifo and a civilian at the Hotel Adlon. A gang of idle _ wealthy German aristocrats, under the influence of drink, demanded "Deutschland Über Alios" from the orchestra, and pelted the French for refusing to rise. All were injured before they were able to withdraw, with the assistance of a bodyguard of waiters. Tho French officer was a member of a military mission staying at the Adlon. The matter will be taken up diplomatically The gang had been obnoxiouslv visiting restaurants and demanding' patriotic music. The visit to the Adlon was a deliberate provocation, as it is the principal resort of foreigners. Horr Noske (Minister of Defence) has ordered the arrest of Prince Joachim -Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
