Algerian oats are still in. keen demand,'but the market is very short of supplies. One good line of Iflflfl sacks was bought-at-7s. ad., f.0.b.5.i., but this was, a specially good sample. Six shillings is about the maximum offer for good seed at country stations. Gartons aro not moving at nnvthins under .'is at wavhide atatioqs. This is the lowest -growers will accept, but a shade more than merchants will pay. However, the North Island innuiry is keener, and values are exneeted to ■firm. Barley is worth .Bs. fld. to -9s. 3d. at country stations, occasional deals tnkin<» place at. higher prices. ■ Bye grass, .both perennial and Italian, is in keen request, and is worth 7s. fid. for the former variety and (is !)d for Italian at' country stations for good,'heavy undressed linns .up to 251b. weight. White clover has also iumned, a four-ton line of particularly good sample selling at 2s. fid. at' country stations. Cocksfoot is easier. It is now worth Is. I'd. to Is. 3d,
