INFLUENZA
LAST WEEK'S FIGURES. During the week ended at noon on Monday the cases of influenza reported in the Wellington district numbered 638, as against 4f>7 in ttift preceding week, but only eight of tho eases weVo pneiiinonic, while threo were classed as severe. Tho remainder were mild cases. The pneumonic and severe cases were, fewer in number than in the preceding week. Tho number of cases reported in New Zealand dining the week ended at noon on Monday was 1381,. of which. 11 were pneumonic and 23 wero Bevere. Otngo had two pneumonic ca?oj, and Hawke's Bay had one, the remaining eight lieing in Wellington district. The position appears stilt to be .improving as far as rerious eases arc concerned, though there is a. great deal of mild .influenza in the Dominion. TWAIHi NOTIFICATIONS.
