In order to ensure thjt the be.ne.£,t of the increased value of traders' .stocks should pass to the consumer or the taxpayer, no advance in the retail price of flour or bread would be germitted until April 12. Arrangements had becii made to check traders', stocks. It was estimated that the reduction in the subsidy would amount to about £15,000,000 for the current financial year.—lmperial News Service. '
