YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS. Mr. E. Page, S.M., dealt with the oases nt yesterday's sitting of the Magistrate s till March 15 was granted in" the case of Francis Roy Barry, who was chared with obtaining a sum of. £2 l'fts. from Harold W. Frost by means of a valueless cheque, drawn on the Hank of Australasia nt Tr.uninrunm. For disorderly hehaviour whilst drunk, John Do Lacey Crowley was fined 10s. A fine of .£3 was imposed on George Webb Norgatp, wlio made use of obscene lnnsiuajiG. Tie wa6 fined a further sum of ss. for drunkenness. Joseph Cook, who used obscene lanimago of an exceedingly objectionable tvpe, was sent to gaol for fourteen days. He was also fined ss. for drunkenness. Leslie Kenneth Taylor was made tho subject ; of maintenance, separation, and guardianship orders, and was ordered to nay 355. per week and costs ill Is., in favour of his wifo.
