4 — NEW APPOINTEES TO TAKE OVER. The new Ministers will be assuming their portfolios very soon now. It is expected that. Mr. Parr will be taking over his work in a few days. Mr. Coates will be assuming control of Public Works so soon as he is in a position to hand over the portfolios at present in his control. Mr. Lee is with t!:.o Parliamentary party at Samoa, and he will not be able to take over until his return. It is possible that there may be another appointment to the Ministry before lons. Sir James Allen's retirement is approaching now, and if it shotild happen that, Mr. Hine's election petition fails there will almost certainly be another Minister appointed. The election uctition will be heard next week, but may not be determined for eoiuo davs.
