COPE'S EXPEDITION
NOT COUNTENANCED BY ROYAL ' GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY. London, March 5. The Royal Geographical Society announces that, after full consideration, the society is unable to approve of Dr. Cope's plans or leadership of the proposed Antarctic expedition, or to give the expedition its countenance or support.—Aus.N.Z.
