A curiosity of Nicaragua is a 6oapy lake. This sheet of water, the Lake of Nejpa, contains a strong solution of bicarbonate of potash, bicarbonate of soda, and sulphate of magnesia. tin water, when nibbsd 'against any greasy object, at once forms a good lather. It ia used as a hair-wash and onjoys a local reputation as a cure fo{ external and ia» teraal complaints.
