Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report; Our ,first hide sale under the new regulations was held this week, when our large offering was all cleared at record priceß. Competition was exceptionally keen and'tanners made good use of their' right to take hides at the ; highest bids. As compared with-export prices at our last Bale in Deoember, sound ox and cow hides were -up 3d. to 4d. pjr lb., and calfskins ; 9d, to 12d; per lb. Tallow also sold exceptionally well.
