AWARD IN TAILORS' DISPUTE
An award was filed by the Aroitration Court yesterday in connection with the application of the Wellington (District) Tailors* "Union for ft war- bonus. He amended,'scale of wages provided, for a minimum weekly wage; of JL asagn nst , M 15s. previously imid. 'With reeard to piecework, the previous time statement is to be continued, with the proviso that: it-shall be calculated, at-the Tate of Is. 3d. per hour, a* against Is. 2d. It is also provided flint when other weekly hands are emp>yed at ladies' tailoring the work may-be donelat the option of. the employer, either at Vrates or at the minimum rate of-Is. 7d. per hour, as against Is. 6d. previously paid. • The award is' made operative from Januar.f:2tJ,;.l92 | V., " '" '.'...'.
