An application for a loan of iS2OO for the purchase of stock was re/erred to a kindred society, and another application for a loan to compete the purchase of a farm was deferred. Tho following loans were approved: JJlfiO to purchase stores for « contractor's; camp; .BlflO for furniture; .£l5O to throe-men to, start business; and -CIOO fcn stock a farm. It was decided to lend 20(1 collapsible chairs at the Foatherston Camp belonging to the nwoointion to the Y.M.C.A. for use n't' Eotorua. It wcs Agreed to irive to the Masterton Hospital a. billiard table mid accessories at present in Feathcrston Conip, and Mrs-. G. Donald, of Tnnliereniltnu, was deputed to make arrangements' for an auction sale <lf tho asso-' ciotion's furniture in tr-ffrnmp.
Messrs. A. Donald, W. IJdy. and .T. Saunders were the only candidates for election to the Wnirarapa Licensing. Committee.
Mr. .T. H. Fieldhouse. headmaster of the South FfiatheTston School has been appointed president of the Wairarapn Teanlim' Institute for 1020.
Mr. .T. W. Card, Mayor of Featherston, is completing arrangements for a lengthy four abroad, and will bo a passenger on the Megnntio, due to sail from Wellington on March 20.
