Tho annual prize-giving ceremony and official opening for the year ol' the Masterton Technical School was held on Saturday evening. Mr. J. M. (Joradino (chairman of the board of managers) presided. There was a good attendance of parents and pupils, find representatives of tho various educational institutions of the town. Before presenting tho certificates, the Mayor (Mr. A\. Il« Jackson)'traversed tho history of the school, - and conimended Messrs. C. E. Darnell and J. M. Coradine for having been tho prime movers in the matter of technical I education in tho town. The workshop Was something they must bo proud ot, but ho hoped l to seo the day when tho whole block as far as Queen Street would bo occupied by different departments ot the school. Other speakers were: Messrs. ,T. M. Coradine, C. E. Dauioll (chairman of tho Trust Lands Trust), and W. T. Grundy. . , Dating the past year the \\ arrnrapa fe Circle scents in Wellington, Masterton.
