PROFESSIONAL BILLIARDS
A fair number of enthusiasts assembled in the Albert Parlour yesterday afternoon to see the continuation of the M'Conachv-Crossan billiards match. The damn atmosphere was against agreeable billiards, nevertheless, both men played well. M'Conachy made breaks of 208 and 101. besides several runs between 50 and 100. Crqssan played with confidence, but the conditions were against him, though he showed great skill in several clever runs around the half-century. The session closed with Crossan still leading bv nearly 400. The house was filled to overflowing in the evening, and although the. atmosphere was still unfavourable to good billiards, excellent form was displayed by the champion, who made breaks of 120, 109. 03, and 201 unfinished. Crossan was a little subdued,, but-played well under adverse conditions. The scores now stand: M'Conachv, 750(i (in play 201 unfinished): Crossan, 7341.
