Liverpool; vice-presi-dents. Mr. ,T. H. G.unson. (Auckland). Mr. Ji Young (Wellington), Mr. J.'A. Fleshcr (Canterbury), and one' to he nominated by Otago and appointed by the Now Zealand executive:; chairman of' executive, Mr. E! Young.;. two representative's ' on the executive, Mrs;-.1,"P. Lukq and ![>'• L. 0. H'/Tripp.'/'; The following resolutions were carried: —"That haying considered the circular letter of the Minister of, Internal Affairs of October 23, this.council desires to Doiiit, out. that its war activities'can.nof. ceaso till tlie military hospitals. in T^w 1 Zealand have been evacuated,' and tb'at.thereafter' its objects'are likely to'. lw extended to other objects in peaco-tinie. .which are'to lie undertaken at.the sagecstion of the liiteriiational Conference of Red Cross Societies, in consequence of the provision of';cla.u'se: : 2s'of tlie League' of-Nations, so that' it will have aniplo use for ( all funds' which areiri harid at the nresent tiriieV" ■■•':.'••-. "That'having received the report of the London 'committee and a copy'of its filial resolution, this Council expresses its appreciation, of. the splendid services rendered ip our., soldiers-and the; Empire by MiO; members; of the committee, and in' sccordance with-, its requests • hereby diswlves it. and. that Mr. Waldegrave be reraested to continue to act as, New Zealand Red Cross' Commissioner." ■'It-was decided that..fhe..Govenior-Gen-etiil be!requested to ask that the 6ff(r-<if the British Red Cross tn return .£30,000 be 'accepted,' and that.it be recommended that after the'claims of sick and wound-, ed and sailors, and ' military' nurses have been satisfied the money be. nswl' in establishing a fund for- provid-ine'-trained'nurses'for the alleviation "of Sickness and "suffering wherever 'neces-sary.-as the council or executive shall from time to'time determine. A letter from the New Zealand Red' Cross commissioner-in London with regard to sUiTiiig children in Europe was .received.- It'was resolved :that the question of a further grant to the starving children fund be referred to the executive, with power to act.
