A PPIICATIONS are invited from suit ■A able men desirous of enrolment as Constables in the New Zealand Police Force, which has many advantages in pay, emoluments, and pension, and offers n good and attractive career to young men possessed of the. requisite qualifications as Towards character, physique, and intelligence. The ngc limits prescribed by Regulations are twenty-one to thirty years. Candidates who have not attained the age of twenty-one years will bo accepted provided they otherwise comply with the. standard requirements, or are likely to fulfil them by the time tihey attain twenty-quo years of ago or within a reasonable time, j afterwards. The standard of education is Standard V, but in the ease of candidates under twentyfive years of age a lower certificate will be accepted. Candidates received under the minimum age-limit will be given a course, of physical training and educational instruction to bring them up to the standards. The scalo of pay for Constables is JM is. per week on appointment, rising by increments to .£5 Is. fid. per week.
