OUTBREAK IN WAIIiARAPA.
By Tcleerapb.—Special Correspondent. Masterton, February 27. Fifty employees of His Waingawa freezing works wero absent from work to-day, having contracted a mild typo of influenza. The majority are being treated in their own homes, and it is hoped that' the outbreak has been arrested. Tlio employees' ambulance (cams and nursing divisions are sparing no effort: in tending tho cases, a. task which is considerable, as the patients' house.? nrc scattered throughout. The killing operations at tho works havo been materially affected, which is particularly unfortunate nl tho present time owing to there being an unusual number of stock in the yards.
