A meeting of Buller residents passed a resolution entering an emphatic protest against any totalisator permit being given, to any racing club in honour of the visit of' the Prince of Wales 'until the day taken from the Wcstport Jockey Club for the .Tcllicoe Meeting at Christchurch is restored. The resolution expressed indignation at the attitude taken up by the Department of Internal Affaire, and i.lK'ged that the Department was treating tho contract entered into by the Racing' Conferenc- and the Wostporfc Jockey Club as a scrap of paper.
