BANK ROBBERS SURPRISED
4 POLICE FOREWARNED. ' Cape Town, February 19. Robbers attempted to hold up the Doornfontein branch of the National Bank at lunch-time. The police had been forewarned, and had established themselves on the premises. They fired at the robbers, who replied. Two of the Tobbers were seriously wounded, and a nolice sergeant slightly wounded.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
