DEATH AT CHBISTCHTOCH.

By Telegraph-Press Association. Christchurch, February 21. The influenza position in Christchurctt Hospital is unaltered, except that one man. aged 45, died of pneumonic influenza in the twenty-four hours ended noon to-day.

For the period between noon on the 16th instant and noon on" tho Mb. mBtant a total of 723 cases of influenza were notified throughout tho Dominion. Of these seven were pneumonic cases, four being severe. The remainder of the cases were all of tho mild typo. The highest number of notifications coma from Otago (MO). Auckland district reported 45 cases, Eawkes Bay 54, Wellington 208, and Canterbury 65.
