Canterbury got a lead of 107 in the first innings. Brosriahan,. a colt who has played senior cricket'only in tho last ' three matches,.was lop scorer. He. went in first wicket, down, and carried his bat, his plnv being slow but exceedingly sound. It t,ook him over two and a half hours to compile fifty. Thomas batted Jinsiuv for his runs.
