A SHAREHOLDERS' MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, February 17. Tho policy to be adopted now that the arrangements in connection with the 'purchase of tho (electric tramways by the City Council have been completed was discussed at a meeting of shareholders at which Mr. C. T. Tcgetmoicr presided. He explained that it was resolved to recommend that the company be wound up as speedily as expedient, that in distributing the assets of the company tho liquidator bo requested, if it is practicable so to do, to propose a scheme whereby debentures of the Auckland City Council 1m distributed amongst tho shareholders of tho company. The chairman paid that while he could not accept this as a formal resolution, he would convey it to the Board of Directors in London. Personally, lio was in sympathy with it.
