Tho ißland Bteamer Navua is due back at Auckland from tho Wcßtern Pacific about February 19, and is timed to leave Auckland for tho Islands again on February 28. The Talune, which arrived at Rarotonga on February 11, and sailed the following day for Papeete, is due back at Auckland irom the Eastern Pacific about February 26. THE JOHN ROACH. The steamer John Itonch should now bo on her way from New York to New Zealand and Australian porta with a cargo of ease oil. According to present arrangements tho itinerary of tho vessel includes Lyttelton, Dunedin, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle. 'It is stated that the Conference Line, to which the John Roach belongs, intend inaugurating a regular servico to Auckland. BARQUE ANTIOPE..AT. ROTTERDAM. A cablegram has been received by the Iron and Steel Company of New Zealand, Ltd., stating that the Dunedin-owned Antiope arrived at Rotterdam on February 3 from Suva and Cape Horn. Tho vessel cleared the Island port on October 18, and reported off Dungenesß last week, the voyage thus occupying 108 days. Tho Antiopc'fi future movements have not yet been annouuued. Sixtv-lhrce days out from San Francisco the American four-masted schooner Alvena arrived oil' the heads yestcraay morning, and in response to signals the tug Pelican went out and placed a pilot on board, and the sailer dropped anchor in tho stream shortly before noon. After being cleared, the vesaol berthed at Clyde Quay about 5 p.ni. yesterday. The Alvena loft San Francisco on December H, and experienced light winds nndcatas till Iho eiitrator was cro s »ed.
